The Msi is a very well-known brand for computer equipment. Today we will write about monitors because that is what I mainly write about on my blog.
This brand offers around 50 monitors for different types of users whether you are a gamer or want a good monitor for your work, everyone can find something that suits them.
Overview of MSI Monitors
This brand has divided its monitors into several series. For gaming, for example, it has created the Optix, MAG and MPG series, while the professional series are the PRO and Modern. Below, we will describe each series individually and provide an example of a monitor.
The Optix series is designed exclusively for gamers, this series includes monitors with high refresh rates up to 360Hz, fast response times of 1ms and technologies such as G-Sync or FreeSync.
The MAG series offers monitors with advanced features such as Rapid IPS panels, high resolutions up to 4K and HDR support. An example is the MAG 323UPF model.
The MPG series includes monitors with QD-OLED technology, high refresh rates and advanced customization features.
The PRO series offers monitors with IPS panels, high color accuracy and ergonomic design for long term use. An example is the PRO MP252 model.
The Modern series combines elegant design with advanced features such as 4K resolution and USB-C connectivity. An example is the MD271UL model.

Key Features of MSI Monitors
Performance – High Refresh Rates and Fast Response Times
The range of monitors of this brand is large, and thus the performance that these monitors offer. These monitors offer refresh rates from 100Hz to 360Hz.
You can find this refresh rate in the MAG 271QPX QD-OLED model, and it also offers you a monitor response of 0.03ms with support for HDR 400 and many other advanced features. This monitor is really made for professional gamers like Esport.
I just wanted to show you the performance of these monitors on this example. I have seen something similar with AOC monitors, which I also wrote about, i.e. with their Agon PRO series, which also have a monitor response of 0.03 ms.
Design and Build Quality
When it comes to design, most MSI monitors are made of sturdy and durable materials, often with metal or high-quality plastic housings that ensure durability. Monitors from series like the PRO and Modern come with adjustable stands that allow you to change the height, tilt, rotation and pivot, which is ideal for long-term use.
Gaming series, like the Optix and MAG, often feature RGB lighting, thin bezels and an aggressive design that suits gamers. On the other hand, the Modern series offers a minimalist and elegant look. Most MSI monitors undergo rigorous testing to ensure they can withstand long-term use and intensive use.
Display Technology – Vibrant Colors and HDR
When it comes to displays, these monitors offer three types of panels: IPS, VA and TN.
IPS panels are known for their wide viewing angles and accurate colors, and we can find them in the MSI MAG 274UPF model, which also offers 97% Adobe RGB color gamut, all with a refresh rate of 144Hz.
The next panels offered by this brand are VA panels, which provide high contrast ratios and deeper blacks, and we can find them, for example, in the MSI G32C4X model.
And then there are TN panels, which are known for their fast response times and high refresh rates. A TN panel is for example available on a model such as the MSI Optix G27C4. When choosing an MSI monitor it’s important to consider which type of panel is best for you depending on your specific needs and purpose.
These monitors have a red button on the back of their monitors that you can use to directly control your monitor settings. Sometimes this button is also located below the screen.
Pricing
This brand has a wide price range from everyday models like the $75 MSI PRO MP251 to QD-OLED models that cost around $900.
So it’s best to carefully consider what kind of monitor you need and what your budget is.
Gaming Capabilities
This brand is a very good option for gamers because it offers three series of monitors for gamers, namely the Optix, MPG and MAG series.
Offering monitors from casual gamers to Esports players. If we take a middle monitor, that would be the MSI MAG 275QF which offers a refresh rate of 180Hz and a 0.5ms response time with 2k resolution, all for just under $200.

Is MSI a Good Monitor Brand for Gamers?
As we have already said, this brand is great for gamers, offering the best performance through its three gaming series Optix, MAG and MPG. A monitor like the MAG272CRX will satisfy all your needs. This 1500R curved monitor, like some others, has support for the Gaming OSD App software for adjusting the monitor as well as support for HDCR.
You can read more about the HDCR function in my article. These monitors are good, they may be a little more expensive, but this is a premium brand that has paid attention to quality and not only performance and ergonomics.
Are MSI Monitors Good for Office Use?
As well as gaming, these monitors also have series for professional monitors for work. Series such as PRO and Modern are exclusively for work. The PRO MP275Q monitor offers WQHD resolution and eye-friendly technology with TÜV Rheinland certification. For example, the PRO MP251 E2 model has built-in speakers that are good for video calls or meetings.
The resolution of these monitors is mostly 4K and they are supported by IPS panels that provide sharp and accurate colors. When it comes to ergonomics, these series are equipped with adjustable stands for height and tilt, and some can even rotate 360 degrees. To conclude, MSI monitors will meet all your work requirements.
Comparison: MSI vs. Other Budget Monitor Brands
This brand can only be compared to premium brands like Asus and Samsung. Due to its high performance, great looks and quality, it falls into that category of monitors. It offers a wide range of monitors, even over 50, so everyone can find something for themselves, just like with competing brands.
All of these brands have the latest monitor technologies, which is why they are more expensive than some cheap brands like AOC or CRUA. Check out my articles about other brands that may have more affordable prices.
MSI Reviews: What Are Customers Saying?
User reviews highlight MSI’s strengths and a few areas for improvement. Here are some customer insights:
- Octavio R. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great monitor with vivid colors and clear resolution!
- Zach Jenkins ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent colors from the quantum dot layer and gets very bright. Can’t use it on max brightness for long without eye strain. Blacks are very dark and the screen has overall good contrast.
- Amazon Customer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality, only issue I am having is the base size is rather large so it doesn’t fit well on my monitor rack on my desk.
- Corey Major ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Took a little bit to get the color settings dialed in, the picture is beautiful and buttery smooth. Not a single dead pixel. Mounted straight to a VESA mount with the standoffs that were included. It also came with both HDMI and Display port cables. Will update if there are any issues.
Conclusion: Is MSI a Good Monitor Brand?
MSI is a good brand if you are looking for a good reliable monitor. These monitors offer a variety of options, whether you are a gamer or want one for work, you can find something that suits you.
